2) Who can register for a .xxx domain name and what are the special registration requirements/restrictions for .xxx domain name?
Special requirements/restrictions for a .xxx domain name are as below
a) Applicable for member of Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry. Member of Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry defined as below
Individuals, business, entities, and organizations that: have determined that a system of self-identification would be beneficial,and have voluntarily agreed to comply with all IFFOR
Policies and Best Practices Guidelines, as published from time to time on the IFFOR web site; and either: Provide online, sexually-oriented adult entertainment ("Online Adult Entertainment") intended for consenting adults or for other community members ("Providers") (e.g. adult webmaster, performers, studios, store owners, club operators); Represent Providers ("Representatives")(e.g. lawyers, agents, advisors, accountants, affiliates); or Provide products or services to Providers and Representatives ("Service Providers") (e.g. adult domainers, manufacturers, delivery companies, caterers, distribution companies, merchant account services, make-up artists, stylists, hosting provider)
b) In order to have a resolving domain name, applicant must be a member of the Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry
c) Membership validation process will be performed directly by Registry to Registrant. Please ensure that email address and phone number filled is valid and correct. Membership validation process sample video can be obtained through http://www.icmregistry.com/about/sponsored-community/
d) A Member ID will be provided to registrant after completion of the validation process. Creation and manage of Member IDs can only be done by Registry
e) Applicants who choose not to participate in the Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry or Non-members of the adult Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry are allowed to register non-resolving domain names

3) What does it mean that the websites are going to be monitored? Are the websites going to be regularly checked by IFFOR to make sure that the website does not include any of not allowed content?
Registrants consent to operate according to best business practice, one example of which is: " All registrants for a .xxx domain must agree to permit automated monitoring of their sites for compliance with IFFOR policies, including without limitation, IFFOR policies requiring site labeling, prohibiting child abuse and or images of child abuse, and prohibiting content or conduct designed to suggest the presence of child abuse images."
4) What is "non-resolving" .xxx domain name?
Non-resolving .xxx domain name is for those who are non-members of the adult Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry. The intention is to protect their intellectual property for personal domain names, company domain names, product domain names, etc. that didn't have prior qualifying rights under Sunrise phase.
5) Will applicants outside of the Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry be able to block their non-trademarked names, or will a trademark be required?
During General Availability, non-member Registrants will be able to register any name they like. This is done on a first come, first served. The name will not resolve if registrant do not authenticate as member . This effectively blocks the domain from use by any member of the Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry, as long as the registrant continues to renew the domain name.
6) Is the non-resolving .xxx domain name registered resolve to the same standard information page indicating the status of the name as reserved - like in Sunrise B?
No, non-Resolving .XXX domains are actual registrations that have the name server information removed at the registry level so the domains will simply not resolve. The Whois will indicate the registrants contact information.Whereas, in Sunrise B, the domain is instead blocked at the Registry level and there is no ownership. Whois reflects ICM Registry
7) What is the length for .xxx domain name?
Minimum of 3 / maximum of 63 characters allowed
8) What is the term of registration?
The term of registration is 1 to 10 years
9) How do I perform a .xxx domain registration?

10) How do I perform the Membership validation process after a domain registration?
After partner perform a .xxx domain registration; If the registrant is a member of Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry but yet validated as member. Registrant are requires to send a request for the membership validation email to be sent at https://member-icmregistry.custhelp.com/app/ask/, Registry will send an email to the Registrant that includes a link to validate their membership. Membership validation process sample video can be obtained through http://www.icmregistry.com/about/sponsored-community/, If the registrant is non-member of Sponsored Community/Adult Entertainment Industry, the name registered is already a non-resolving domain name.
11) Can I delete a domain after registered?
Yes, partners are allowed to delete a .xxx domain name after registered, registration fee is refundable within 3 days grace period.
12) What is the term of renewal?
The term of renewal is 1 to 10 years
13) What is the renewal grace period for .xxx domain name and how do I perform a domain renewal?
Renewal grace period for .xxx domain name is 40 days, partners may renew the domain name through Quick Start Registration function. Partner may refer to "Domain Renewal" FAQ for more information.
14) Any Redemption Grace Period (RGP) for .xxx domain name?
Yes, Redemption Grace Period for .xxx domain name is a period of 30 days. Partner may refer to "Domain Restoration" FAQ for more information.
15) How long does it takes for a domain to release to public registration after expired and not renew?
After a .xxx domain was expired, it will go through below life cycle:-40 days renewal grace period --> 30 days Redemption grace period --> 5 days pending delete. If partners did not renew or restore the domain name, it will be release for public re-registration approximately 75 days from the domain expiration date. Please note that domain re-registration is on first-come, first-served basis.
16) Can I initiate a registrar transfer for .xxx domain name and how do I initiate the transfer?
Yes, partners are allowed to initiate registrar transfer for .xxx domain name. Please note that domain will extend for 1 year after completion. Upon transfer completion, kindly ensure associate the name with a validated Member ID in order to continue resolve the name.
17) Why the .xxx name will become unresolved during the registrar transfer process while the name is resolving all the while?
The losing registrar may disassociate Member ID for the name before the name being transferred out, therefore, kindly ensure associate the name with a validated Member ID in order to continue resolve the name upon transfer completion.
18) Can I initiate a reseller transfer for .xxx domain name and how do I initiate the transfer?
Yes, partners are allowed to initiate reseller transfer for .xxx domain name. Please note that domain will be extended for 1 year after completion. Partner may refer to "Reseller Transfer" FAQ for more information.
19) How do I manage my .xxx domain name for example, name protection, retrieve authorization information and etc.?
Partners may manage domain name through User Management function. Partner may refer to "Domain Management" FAQ for more information
20) How do I associate or disassociate Member ID to my .xxx domain name?
Partner may associate or disassociate Member ID to a .xxx domain name by contacting with us. After operation, the domain will take effect within 24-48 hours.
21) Why my .xxx name is not resolving after configure free DNS services?
If the name not associate with a Member ID, the name will not resolve even the configuration has been performed. The name is hold at Registry's end.
22) Does Registry provide Internationalized Domain name (IDN) for .xxx?
No, Registry does not provide IDN.xxx domain name at this moment.
